Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your 12steps account and all of its data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

From inside the app

• Open Settings.
• Choose Danger Zone.
• Follow the prompt to confirm: you'll type DELETE and re-enter your password.

You can go straight there now: Settings → Danger Zone.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes everything tied to it, including:

• your account and login credentials;
• all encrypted content (journal, step work, inventories, amends, prayers, meetings);
• your reminder settings and notification tokens;
• device-recovery and trusted-contact data.

If you can't sign in

We can delete your account record on request even if you can no longer sign in. Email support@12steps.life from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. Note that we do not read the encrypted contents when deleting — and on a Private account we could not, by design.
